Update: Please note time corrections on the Sunday outing.

The Social Justice Committee invites you on a group outing to see a Crimson Masque presentation of “The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later (The Epilogue),” at Monmouth College.

There will be two opportunities to attend this event: 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4. Both shows are in the WIT Studio Theatre in the basement of the Haldeman-Thiessen Science Center on the campus in Monmouth, Ill.

Meet at Zion for the drive to Monmouth. The caravan will depart at 6:30 p.m. for the Friday performance, and at 1:30 p.m. for the Sunday show. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for students. Seats can be reserved by calling (309) 457-2104.

“The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later (The Epilogue)” is a look back on the decade following the murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay college student in Laramie, Wyo., in 1998. It is followup to “The Laramie Project,” a play based on more than 200 interviews of Laramie residents by members of the Tectonic Theater Project in the year after the murder.

Those interested sticking around after the play can join the group for dinner (at your own expense) at a restaurant to be determined.
